Abstract

研究を続けていると，多くの研究者に影響を与える「当たり」の研究に出会うことがある．そのような研究は，どうして当たったのであろうか？　ともすれば研究内容だけに注目してしまいがちであるが，その理由の一端はそれを生み出した時代背景にあるのかもしれない．本小特集では，過去の「当たり」の研究がどのように生まれ，その後の研究シーンにどのような影響を与えたのかを，ゆかりのある研究者に解説して頂く．本稿では，その企画意図と「当たり」の研究テーマの生まれ方の一例を述べ，更に研究活動のライフサイクルという考え方を紹介する．
